About Dindo Drafting, Inc.

At the age of seven in front of the family television set, I started to draw. While watching an Art Program, with pad and pencil in hand, I became fascinated with what I could draw on my pad by the end of each show. My parents always encouraged me to draw, for they saw something in me that I now know was my destiny.

At the age of seventeen, I was hired as an apprentice at a local granite manufacturing plant through a work program with our local High School. After working my three-year apprenticeship, I became a Journeyman and Monumental Draftsman in 1973. Being born and raised in Barre, I was inspired by many artisans in the Granite Industry and in our local Cemetery (Hope) where it is like walking through an outdoor museum.

There were three very important people who influenced and helped me to develop my talent: my art teacher, Charles Bohn, my Monumental Drafting teacher, Ray Lesslie and Pewee Fontana, a head Draftsman at a local granite manufacturing plant where I started my career.

I established Dindo Drafting in 1979. It has always been my goal to produce the finest drawings, because I know that my art will be displayed throughout the country on a stone that will have everlasting beauty and meaning to family, friends and loved ones.

My business is owned and operated by my wife and I from a studio in our home. We are a small, yet powerful business with the newest technology. I have been in business now for over thirty years, and I believe my work is broad enough in scope to allow everyone to choose a memorable memorial to cherish to the end of time.

Yours very truly,

Charlie Dindo
